Did You Know?
Cuba has resisted under US sanctions for over 60 years, cutting off access to food, medical supplies and technology.
Day 1
Habana & You: La Historia
Land in La Habana and be whisked away to your 5 course meal! Your first lesson is CUBAN HISTORY THROUGH FOOD. Every dish is specifically selected to tell the story of Cuba and is explained by a museologist.
We move from Cuban history to our first FIRESIDE CHAT : LOOKING BACK- DISCUSSING OUR OWN HISTORY. We rarely spend time celebrating the obstacles we’ve overcome. Our time together will be focused on highlighting our strengths and honoring our victories.
Tonight we’ll experience a moving dance performance of the Orishas that explains SANTERIA in Cuba and its importance to Cuban spirituality.
Day 2
Rest as Resistance
Begin your day SALSA DANCING with Cuba’s most famous cabaret dancers from the Tropicana club.
Next, head to the crystal clear waters of the blue Caribbean sea where we have organized a BEACH BARBECUE for you to enjoy some well needed rest and relaxation. We enter our next FIRESIDE CHAT: REST AS RESISTANCE where we discuss rest as an agent of resistance against the contemporary lifestyle of constant hustle and grind.
Your next teacher is Cuba's leading gynecologist who explains Cuba’s FREE MEDICAL SYSTEM, its triumphs as well as shortcomings. Doctors are forced to work with limited resources due to US sanctions.
Tonight you’ll have a chance to practice your new salsa skills while we hit the city to experience the music, dancing and everything else that makes up Havana’s nightlife.

Day 3
Art Around Every Corner
Your professor today is a Cuban art curator who will take you on a CUBAN ART WALK. This isn’t a museum tour. Our artists are living and breathing and documenting their every day realities in Cuba. They open their homes exclusively to you and engage in discussion about the meaning of their work. Here you can buy directly from the artist!
Then we’ll have our next FIRESIDE CHAT . We’ll focus today on strengthening the connections within ourselves.
You’ll have time to shop and explore the bustling streets of Havana before we head to our next activity: SUNSET CLASSIC CAR RIDE.
We’ve rented the most vintage cars in the most vibrant colors as you ride off into the sunset and connect to the present moment.
Did You Know?
Cuba’s tobacco farms are protected UNESCO heritage sites and no machinery is permitted. The entire farm is plowed by oxen and accessed via horse, just like the old days.
Day 4
Eco Farming
We head to the countryside of Cuba where the landscapes take your breath away. You'll be welcomed into a typical family home and enjoy a fresh homemade meal leading to our first lesson - FOOD ECONOMICS. Learn how sanctions have affected Cuban access to food and the strange laws created as a result.
Our next lesson is on horseback as we ride through the farms of Cuba to learn about ECO FARMING. Here is where you’ll learn the tobacco growing process as you try your own complimentary cigar dipped in honey at one of the best views Cuba has to offer.
