Day 1
Welcome Back!
You already know the drill! Touch down, check your bags and dive right into the action beginning with a quick lesson on RECONSTRUCTING A COUNTRY THROUGH SURF.
This introductory class covers SURF in El Salvador from Indigenous Peoples to Bukele, the President of El Salvador, and how it has changed over time and contributed to the makings of this beautiful country. Taught by our very own curator, El Kevin.
PUPUSA COOKING CLASS
We know you’re fresh off the plane and looking to EAT! So meet your instructors and head to the beach where you’ll learn to make your own pupusas with the team beachside under close instruction by our favorite local abuelas!
Day 2
SURF: TWO-A-DAYS
For your first full day back in El Tunco, you’ll be easing back into SURF. Your first two classes will be testing out your level, getting you comfortable on the water, and easing you into stepping into a more advanced surf class.
So get your bikinis ready because you have a SUNRISE surf class and another at SUNSET. As always, your classes will be filmed for your daily review analysis.
Day 3
EVERYBODY WANNA GO SURFING…
Now that you’re back acclimated to the waters, let’s step it up. Today we’re going to a different, more advanced break.
You’ll need to practice your paddle out, rules of the waves, and reading the water in your third and fourth SURF CLASS. Your instructors will be by your side instructing you as you go along and, as always, we end each surf class with VIDEO ANALYSIS.
Be sure to bring your USB so you can take these home with you!
Day 4
WHALE WATCHING
You’ve gotten four surf classes under your belt in two days! Let’s take a break! We know your body might need it.
Today we’re heading out to the only white sand beach in El Salvador for a day on the boat for WHALE WATCHING! It’s whale season so be sure to look out for dolphins, turtles and, of course, whales!
Day 5
CAVES, WATERFALLS & SURFING
Your 5th day begins with a SUNRISE SURF class and analysis. You should be practicing your turning by now. Your ultimate goal is to be able to catch your own wave by yourself.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to the WATERFALLS OF TAMANIQUE! We’ll spend the day having a few drinks, jumping off cliffs, and enjoying the 4 natural pools of the area. It does require a semi-strenuous hike to get there, so if that’s not your thing we will take you to the CAVES OF EL ZONTE. Where it’s more lowkey and you can enjoy a margarita by the water.
Day 6
MASSAGE & FAREWELL DINNER
It’s our last day of surf! Your final surf class will be in the morning followed by video analysis after which we will be giving you all of your content.
Six surf classes well spent and you should be surfing like an advanced beginner! We’ll end your trip with a deep tissue FULL BODY MASSAGE at our local spa.
At night you’ll head to the fanciest restaurant on the coast so put on your best outfit and get ready for SUNSET FAREWELL DINNER with your instructors.
Day 7
Farewell!
This is your final day of your sophomore Surf Camp experience. Stay on for a few days if you like or catch the shuttles to the airport. Either way, we’re sure we’ll see you again soon!
