Day 1
Arrival
Welcome to Habana, the Pearl of the Antilles! Your ride awaits you at the airport where you’ll be whisked away to your iconic colonial style mansion where each one has a deep history lasting over 100 years.
Your first activity is a curated 5-course menu just for us! We’ve worked with the only Cuban chef in Havana trying to rescue the tastes of the Indigenous Taino of the island. Together, we have created a master class in A HISTORY OF CUBA THROUGH FOOD where a museologist walks you through the 5 different eras of Cuban history as you taste the most popular dishes of each era.
After our bodies are nourished and our minds fed, we move into our WELCOME SOIREE to connect with all of our fabulous retreat participants and set our intentions for our time together.
After dinner, we’ll head over to FABRICA DE ARTE - TIME magazine’s list of 100 World’s Greatest Places to visit — Cuba’s coolest art experience. In this old peanut factory converted into an art museum, each room has a different performance or musical group playing. So as you hop from one room to the next, not only do the paintings change but the music as well, so that you may dance amongst the art and choose your own experience.

Day 2
Healing Through Movement
Our day starts with a MEDITATION & ANCESTRAL CONNECTION WORKSHOP. This workshop provides a sacred space for introspection, facilitating healing conversations with your ancestral lineage and fostering a path toward personal and familial wellness.
Cuba is a world renowned epicenter of dance! Our next activity - CUBAN DANCE - is an interactive learning experience where we will salsa our way through the history and practicum of the different dances of Cuba including the ceremonial Afrocuban dance of Rumba! To top off through demonstrations and dancing with Cuba’s most beautiful and talented dancers heralding from Tropicana Ballet, Cuba’s oldest and most famous cabaret. Be ready to move, shake, sweat and want to come back for more! No previous dance experience required!
After leaving it all on the dance floor and understanding that many of the dances originating in Cuba have origins from Africa, we learn in our CUBA-AFRICA RELATIONS class how Cuba's heritage, culture, and present day life has been shaped by Africa. Your professor– a Cuban soldier who fought in Angola alongside Che Guevara presents on Cuban solidarity missions– discussing how Cuban went from a slave route to having a long-standing positive relationship with African nations and how Fidel Castro took part in their independence movements.
Then we move onto preparing you for tomorrow’s activity. You’ll be ushered into a room of various drums that are said to speak their own language as you learn about Cuba’s most practiced religion SANTERIA. From the Orishas to the meaning of the animal sacrifices, you’ll learn with a two-time Master degree scholar on the topic
Day 3
Healing Through Water
We depart on a journey by boat from Havana to the tiny city of Regla. Regla is the historical center of the Santeria religion in Havana because this is where free slaves established themselves after emancipation. Your journey across the water will be held in DRUM CEREMONY as we follow the same exact route to freedom.
Here in this town there is a Santerian church built in 1687 where you will find a Black Madonna dedicated to the Santerian goddess Yemaya, the goddess of the ocean, the one who protected them on their journey. You will be instructed on what to do and what to wear once you get here for your SANTERIAN PILGRAMMAGE. Here we will be greeted with an award-winning performance of the DANCE OF THE ORISHAS.
Following this experience, you will head to the beach where you will greet Yemaya yourself. The crystal clear blue waters of the Caribbean await you as you end your day under the palm trees eating lobster with snow white sand under your feet at our BEACH BBQ. Here we will do our UNVEILING INTERGENERATIONAL CYCLES WORKSHOP. This workshop offers a concise yet powerful lineage exploration, unlocking the potential for profound healing and breaking free from intergenerational cycles.

Day 4
Cuban Countryside & Horseback Riding
Viñales is a small town where the landscapes take your breath away. You'll be welcomed into a typical Cuban family home and enjoy a fresh, homemade meal leading to our FOOD ECONOMICS activity. Learn how sanctions have affected Cuban access to food and the strange laws created as a result.
Our next experience is on a HORSEBACK RIDE as we trot through the lush farms and red dirt of the countryside to learn about ECO FARMING. Here is where you’ll learn the tobacco growing process as you try your own complimentary cigar dipped in honey and sip mojitos at one of the best views Cuba has to offer.
We will end our evening overlooking the valley at a female-owned, farm-to-table restaurant with workshop Legacy-Minded Healing: Planting Roots for Future Generations. This will be an opportunity through introspective exercises, identify the seeds you want to plant and the legacy you want to cultivate to foster ongoing positive transformation for yourself and future generations.
Day 5
Sunrises & Pig Roasts
Our final day begins before dawn in pitch darkness with a hike to sit atop the mountain and watch the sun rise. Here we will gaze at the sky in meditative state while the sun’s rays changes all of the colors of the valley. Here we will have a very special YOGA CLASS to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit.
The rest of your day is open for you to explore the town on your own. Go shopping, zip lining, or enjoy other natural activities.
We’ll celebrate our time together in a CLOSING CEREMONY as we think about the legacy we leave for the future generations over a traditional Cuban pig roast (don’t worry, vegetarians, there’ll be plenty for you to eat).
