making traveling to Hawai’i extremely unethical and irresponsible. However, we recognized that is not stopping the 6 MILLION tourists a year from flocking to the islands in droves and depleting the islands of its natural resources.
So what if there was an alternative way to travel to Hawai’i?
Our Hawaiian Educational Experience trip is a tour based on REGENERATION. On this trip, you will be guided by Kānaka Maoli kumus (Native Hawaiian teachers) who are each experts on the topics they present on. From Climate Change through a Hawaiian lens to ‘Aina (land) Preservation, they will carefully and culturally walk you through the environmental and health concerns they are fighting everyday, while introducing you to Hawaiian lifeways.
This trip is regenerative to the people and to the land in the following ways:
100% of activities are led by Kanaka professors (Native Hawaiians)
The only voices you will be hearing are from Native peoples
100% of restaurants used are owned by Kanaka Maoli and/or plantation era local peoples
Accommodations are 100% unionized & only employ local peoples
Give back to ‘aina (land) experiential learning
Sponsors Native Hawaiian students
and through this, the journey you’re on regenerates yourself.
